SHC Hairdressing Team Training & Development

A key element of the SHC brand is that our clients come to us knowing that they will be offered the absolute latest styles, colours and cuts – by expertly trained hairdressers. You can also drop in for advice or a consultation, knowing that we will have experts on hand to listen to your query and give you a professional response. Your query may be about hair styles, the right colour for your, hair extensions, Ionic hair straightening, hair condition queries… the list goes on. At SHC, we have a policy of continuous training for all staff.  We aim not to offer you good hair dressers, but excellent hairdressers.

External Training & Development

Each of our younger stylists is mentored by a qualified hairdresser in their salon. We ensure that when our first year stylists start college they are well trained in the basics and are proficient in skills such as hair colour application.

In-salon Training & Development

When qualified, our hairdressers attend a programme of courses at. SHC stylists attend courses at the academies of the major hair product companies Tigi, Wella and GHD. To ensure that we offer you the ground breaking styles and colours, we participate in a wide variety of hairdressing events and seminars in locations throughout the UK.

Art Director Garry Spencer uses his excellent connections in the hair dressing industry to bring truly world class hair dressers to come and work alongside our staff. The workshops not only achieve the outstanding technical development of our hairdressers, but interacting with these professionals from the pinnacle of the industry leaves them highly motivated and keen to use their skills and knowledge to 

Bruno Giamattei In Salon Seminars

Bruno is a world renowned hairdresser. He is head of British FAME team and is a truly inspirational hairdresser. He runs a string of hugely successful hair salons in London but is happy to travel to see us and introduce our hairdressers to his cutting edge techniques and colouring creations. Bruno is in his element when working alongside our hairdressers, passing on his technical skills and sharing his wonderful creativity. Bruno’s sessions are highly participative, with the stylists encouraged to create their own styles and colour combinations in the session.

Neil Rice Creative Hairdressing Workshops

Top Liverpool stylist Neil Rice makes frequent visits to our salon to work alongside our team and pass on some of his fantastic hairdressing fashion tips and detailed knowledge of ‘what’s new’. Neil worked with Garry in the 90’s and is one of the most exceptional hair dressers in Liverpool. Neil is always bursting with fresh ideas as well as fantastic technical ability, which he is very keen to share with professionals sharing his passion for the hairdressing industry.

Maureen Nash Bridal Hair Training
Top bridal hair expert Maureen Nash visited our Hill Street salon twice in early 2011 for 2 very inspiring bridal hair workshops. Every team member attending these training sessions came away full of new ideas and an even better understanding of how to create fantastic hair up looks. Some of Maureen’s work was of a more classic nature but each look had its own individuality and modern twist.
